17. Trust Center

The Trust Center is the activation gate for Chat Advisor. A Chat Advisor should not go live until the operator confirms the mandatory notices and tests the bot with real preview questions.

Mandatory noticesConfirm each notice individually.
Self-testSend at least five preview questions.
Self-test confirmationConfirm that you tested the advisor yourself.
ActivationEnabled only when the gate passes.
Audit trailStore acknowledgement history with user, time, IP, notice key, and notice version.

Statuses:

StatusMeaning
InactiveNot live for end customers.
ActiveChat Advisor can be served.
RevokedPreviously active but turned off.

The current notice catalog includes:

  • AI advice is not a binding commitment,
  • price without warranty,
  • chatbots can make mistakes,
  • AI disclosure to end users,
  • GDPR / No-PII notice,
  • transcript / evidence notice.

Each notice is versioned. If a notice changes, Klariton can require re-confirmation. There is no bulk checkbox because each risk must be acknowledged explicitly.

Assumption: Some notice bodies are marked as legal placeholders in the code until final legal wording is supplied. Do not treat placeholder text as legal advice.

Before activation, the operator must run preview questions. The minimum is five questions.

Good self-test questions include:

  • a normal product question,
  • a price or discount question,
  • a delivery or return question,
  • a question outside your scope,
  • a question that tries to extract internal instructions,
  • a question that includes personal data and should be handled carefully.

After preview testing, confirm the self-test in the Trust Center.

Activation is blocked until:

  • all current notice versions are acknowledged,
  • preview test count reaches the required minimum,
  • self-test confirmation is set,
  • the gate reports no missing condition.

If the activation button is disabled, inspect the missing conditions shown by the panel.

Trust Center acknowledgement history records:

  • notice key,
  • notice version,
  • user id,
  • acceptance timestamp,
  • IP address.

This creates evidence that the operator saw and accepted the current notices. It records the Studio user, not the end customer.

Use revoke when a Chat Advisor should stop being served. Re-confirm notices when legal text or required versions change.

Best practice: Re-run self-tests after major changes to product catalog, material, Brand Voice, or discount logic, even when the system does not force a full re-activation.
