31. Settings Deep Dive
This chapter expands the Settings overview with the operational details users need most often.
Organization
Section titled “Organization”Organization settings control identity and delivery boundaries.
Important fields:
- organization name,
- URL slug,
- production domain,
- staging and test URLs,
- locale and timezone,
- trash retention,
- material aging threshold,
- official manufacturer domains,
- excluded competitor domains,
- behavior for BIQs without a source,
- default lead recipient,
- customer worker subdomain.
Changing the slug, production domain or worker subdomain can break old snippets. After any change, use the Embed tab to get a fresh snippet and test staging plus production.
Branding LIVE
Section titled “Branding LIVE”Branding controls the public widget appearance.
Current controls include:
- primary color,
- text color,
- button color,
- secondary color where plan allows,
- font family where plan allows,
- corner radius where plan allows,
- powered-by badge where plan allows.
Use the preview before saving. Avoid very light text colors on a white widget background.
Advisor Identity LIVE
Section titled “Advisor Identity LIVE”Advisor Identity controls the name and avatar shown in the Chat Advisor header where supported.
Fields:
- display name,
- initials fallback,
- avatar image URL.
If the avatar URL is empty, the widget can show initials. If the display name is empty, the profile can be cleared.
AI Provider LIVE
Section titled “AI Provider LIVE”The AI Provider tab controls generation provider behavior and budget guardrails.
It includes:
- provider selection,
- monthly token usage,
- production and staging usage buckets,
- monthly token limit,
- alert threshold,
- daily LLM budget,
- per-generation cap.
Provider switches affect new generations only. Existing BIQs remain unchanged.
Budget controls are independent from the commercial Klariton plan. They limit LLM spending and can force a fallback from premium paths to default paths.
Embed LIVE
Section titled “Embed LIVE”The Embed tab generates snippets for touchpoints.
Sub-tabs:
- universal HTML,
- Shopify Liquid.
Universal snippets can include:
org-slug,touchpoint-slug,mode,locale,data-worker-url,- chat display variant,
- floating button position.
Shopify Liquid snippets can use the Shopify request locale and product context.
If a customer worker subdomain is configured, save it first, then copy a fresh snippet. The snippet should reflect the saved value, not an unsaved draft.
Integrations
Section titled “Integrations”Integrations show domain and delivery context. Depending on environment, this can include:
- embed snippet access,
- customer domain state,
- SSL/verification status,
- crawler or LLM reach domain information.
If an integration appears read-only, treat it as guided setup and verify with the in-app status.
LLM Visibility LIVE
Section titled “LLM Visibility LIVE”LLM Visibility controls AI-crawler discovery.
You can:
- enable or disable
llms.txt, - add custom Markdown header content,
- preview the generated
llms.txt, - copy the endpoint URL,
- copy sitemap and robots recommendation URLs,
- include or exclude individual touchpoints,
- record an internal reason when a touchpoint is excluded.
Do not put personal data into custom llms.txt content. It is public when enabled.
API Keys LIVE
Section titled “API Keys LIVE”API keys are used for server-side programmatic access.
The API Keys tab supports:
- create key,
- one-time plaintext reveal,
- copy key,
- list keys by name and prefix,
- see scope and last-used date,
- revoke key.
Current public-read keys are intended for server-side use. Do not put API keys into browser bundles.
Discount Codes
Section titled “Discount Codes”Discount code settings define which discount codes or promo-code behavior Klariton can use in recommendations and lead/conversion flows.
Use this tab together with Cross-Sell. Do not let generated answers promise a discount unless the discount-code setup provides a valid code.
Save Behavior
Section titled “Save Behavior”Most tabs save independently. If a setting affects public delivery, re-test the affected touchpoint after saving.
High-impact settings:
- slug,
- production domain,
- staging URLs,
- worker subdomain,
- AI provider,
- budgets,
llms.txt,- target locales when Translation Management is released,
- Brand Voice rules,
- API keys.
