4. BIQs

A BIQ is a curated question-answer unit. It is the smallest publishable answer in Klariton.

Generation Methods

Klariton supports several generation paths:

Method	Use when
Manual	You already know the exact question and answer
From material	You have strong product documents or URLs
Klariton curated / premium	The topic needs deeper research, interview or follow-up BIQs

Important: generate inside a touchpoint or with a product assigned to a touchpoint. Otherwise a batch can produce no BIQs while still consuming budget.

Confidence Levels

Level	Meaning	Typical action
CONFIRMED	Supported by enough own sources	Usually publish after review
SINGLE_SOURCE	Supported by one own source	Review carefully or add another source
EXTERNAL	Supported externally, not by your material	Do not treat as your own product promise
INFERRED	No source evidence	Do not publish unless intentionally accepted

The confirmed threshold is configurable per organization. The default is two sources.

Lifecycle

BIQs move through review states before they appear publicly:

PENDING_REVIEW -> ACCEPTED -> PUBLISHED -> LOCKED

Only live-eligible, published content is displayed in public touchpoints and AI feeds. Drafts, rejected entries and raw generated output must not leak into customer-facing surfaces.

Curation Checklist

Before publishing:

• Question is realistic.
• Answer is correct and useful.
• Sources support the claim.
• Confidence matches the publication decision.
• Brand Voice rules are followed.
• Sensitive claims are reviewed.
• Translations are ready or intentionally not live.
• SafeGuard findings are resolved or accepted.

Cost Control

Avoid unnecessary generation cost:

• Wait for material processing.
• Generate in small batches.
• Accept curation candidates before leaving the flow.
• Use premium generation for high-value questions only.
• Do not repeatedly generate from weak sources; fix the source first.
